Rossendale's houses are often built into the hillside, with gardens on several levels, stone retaining walls and trees growing on slopes above or below the house. Trees on slopes can be under extra strain, and roots near retaining walls can cause problems. We assess each tree carefully and use ropes and rigging to take down or reduce trees without anything falling onto walls, roofs or the road below.

The valley also catches a lot of wind and rain, so storm damage and deadwood are common. Tree Preservation Orders and conservation areas here are managed by Rossendale Borough Council, and we check before work starts.
