Canopy Tree Care safely fells and removes trees that are dead, diseased, dangerous or simply in the wrong place. We specialise in sectional felling, which means taking a tree down piece by piece so it can be removed from small gardens without damage to houses, fences, greenhouses or neighbouring property.

HOW WE REMOVE A TREE
Free site visit. We look at the tree, access, nearby structures and overhead cables, and give you a fixed written quote.
Permission checks. We check for Tree Preservation Orders and conservation areas with your council, and for nesting birds, which are protected by law.
Felling. Where there's space, we fell the tree in one direction. In tight spaces we climb or use rigging to lower sections to the ground under control.
Clean-up. Branches are chipped, timber is removed or cut into logs if you want to keep it, and the area is raked and blown clean.
Stump. We can grind out the stump on the same visit so the ground is ready to replant, turf or build on.

Yes. Sectional felling lets us dismantle trees in confined spaces with no machinery access, lowering each piece by rope.
Do I need permission to remove a tree?
Only if it has a Tree Preservation Order or is in a conservation area, or if planning conditions protect it. We'll check before any work starts.
Do I need to be home for the quote?
As long as we have clear access to the garden, we can often provide an estimate without you being present.
Is any job too small?
No, we handle everything from minor branch pruning and hedge tidying to full-scale tree removals.
Do I need permission to cut down or prune a tree?
Sometimes. If a tree has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or is in a conservation area, you need your local council's consent before most work. We check this before starting and can advise you on the application.
